YAMANASHI serves as the gateway to Mount Fuji, the definitive symbol of Japan, and is a historic land that once flourished as Kai and Kofu. It shares a historic bond with Colorado—so profound that numerous municipalities between them have established sister-city alliances—rooted in the majestic presence of Mount Fuji and the Rocky Mountains, as well as their shared heritage as central epicenters of gold rushes in both nations.

The crest integrates the Sakasa Aka-Fuji (upside-down Red Mount Fuji), an auspicious reflection cast upon mirror-like waters, alongside the Takeda-bishi (diamond) crest of the great warlord Takeda Shingen and the prestigious Takedake-hanabishi (flower-diamond) crest. This is woven with the Mitsu-tomoe (triple-vortex) crest, harboring the protection of the god of war to ward off adversity and command victory, and an octagonal motif symbolizing rebirth and the dawn of a new era.

Together, they represent an insatiable drive to scale the highest peaks and the unwavering pride of challengers who defy all adversity to relentlessly pursue the ultimate crown.
