HYOGO BAY AREA
GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS
Bounded by an international port and the majestic Rokko Mountains, Hyogo stands as Japan’s premier harbor region. Since 1957, Kobe City and San Francisco have flourished in what is celebrated as a "mirror relationship," with the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge and the Golden Gate Bridge serving as twin sentinels at their respective gateways. It is a city that has evolved through the continuous embrace of vanguard cultures and global perspectives arriving from across the sea.
The crest captures the exotic allure of a cityscape where maritime scenery and architectural icons converge. It integrates the Mitsuba-aoi, honoring a deep historical bond with the Tokugawa Shogunate, alongside the “Arima-tomoe” (a distinctive motif of the Arima clan of Settsu) renowned for its unique "Hidari-mitsudomoe" design with elegantly trailing tails. Together, these elements symbolize the enduring prestige and the cosmopolitan spirit of a land that remains a bridge to the world.
