KAGOSHIMA is a land of passionate spirit, overlooking the majestic active volcano of Sakurajima and nurtured by the rich nature of the southern realm. It shares an unmatched commonality with Houston as the premier space exploration and rocket launch hub of their nations anchored by Kagoshima as the site of the largest rocket launch complex in Japan, and Houston as the legendary epicenter for spaceflight while deeply resonating in a fervent spirit of revolution and pioneering that shatters the conventions of any given era.

Just as Texas famously revolted against foreign rule to forge its own independent republic, the fierce revolutionary energy that once surged from the land of Satsuma to reshape a nation profoundly intertwines with Houston's historic legacy of propelling humanity to the moon and rewriting human history. Its crest incorporates dynamic smoke motifs evoking the propulsion of a rocket soaring into the atmosphere and Sakurajima's intense volcanic plumes, alongside the Goshichi-no-kiri crest of Kagoshima Shrine signifying sacred tradition.
