NEW YORK KNICKS

Spreading along the banks of the Sumida River, this region has flourished since the Edo period as the cradle of popular entertainment and the heart of local culture. It is a unique land where historic temples and iconic architecture stand alongside the sacred grounds of Sumo, the national sport. Much like Manhattan serves as the vibrant center of New York, East Tokyo is a historic hub where countless narratives have been etched into the city’s identity. Bound together by the intersection of tradition and collective enthusiasm, these two cities have always grown through the heat and energy of the crowd.

The crest utilizes the "Take ni Suzume" motif of the Oginogaya Uesugi clan (the historic guardians of Edo) symbolizing the enduring protection and the lively, spirited nature of a city that has always been the stage for greatness.
